„One of our members of the Vladimir Ghika Catholic Family Association from Bucharest intended to create a fathers’ club some years ago. In Poland I had the opportunity to meet a group of working fathers with monthly meetings and later I learned about a pilgrimage for fathers in Cotignac in France.

2021 was declared as the year of Saint Joseph by Pope Francis, but I did not see much done within this year. In March 2022 during the FAFCE Spring Board Meeting in Vác (Hungary) and in one of the Activity Reports of FAFCE’s 32 member organizations, I learned about an Art Contest on the theme of Saint Joseph that was organized in Hungary in 2021 by the t’ARS Christian Art Association.

I was amazed by this opportunity for creativity and innovation and in the next FAFCE Autumn Board Meeting from Paris in October 2022 we discussed and approved of this project for 2023: European Art Contest.

We realized that this project is an opportunity for bringing the believers (Catholics and non-Catholics) and non-believers together and reflecting on the genuine values of our today’s society using an another language: ART. Without fight and violence, but with imagination, creativity and …love.”
